Iranian feature film ‘One Night in Tehran’ has grabbed two awards at the 17th Salento International Film Festival (SIFF) in Italy.

According to Iranian media reports, ‘One Night in Tehran’ by Farhad Najafi was named the best film at the Italian festival.

The film also brought Roozbeh Rayga the Best Cinematography award at the SIFF.

‘One Night in Tehran’ is about a girl who is looking for happiness within the chaos of this swallowing world.

She, unaware of how her life is going to change forever, takes a cab at night.

The film is starring Tirdad Kiaei and Mina Vahid.

The 17th Salento International Film Festival took place in September and the awards ceremony was scheduled for late November due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the new restrictions forced the cancellation of the ceremony, and the list of winners was recently announced.
